Your visit extends to Palace House, the historic ancestral home of the Montagu family. This unique estate combines 13th-century Beaulieu Abbey ruins with stunning Victorian Gothic architecture. You can explore centuries of history, from the serene Abbey ruins to the grand interiors of Palace House and its tranquil gardens. Enhance your experience by riding England's first monorail, which connects the museum to Palace House and offers panoramic views of the estate, or opt for a nostalgic journey on a vintage open-top bus.

Buckler's Hard: Georgian Maritime Haven

Step back in time at Buckler's Hard, a remarkably preserved 18th-century shipbuilding village on the Beaulieu River, where mighty vessels like Nelson's "Agamemnon" were crafted; explore its unique broad main street, once a bustling construction site, and step inside a Georgian shipwright's dwelling, imagining life during the great age of sail.

For a delightful lunch at Buckler's Hard, visitors can choose between the inviting Captain's Table café, where they can savour a delicious meal amidst the unique maritime history and picturesque surroundings of this charming shipbuilding village, or the cozy Yachtsman pub, nestled beside the Beaulieu River and offering nautical charm with lovely riverside views.

Winchester: Ancient Capital & Royal History

Here, we'll immerse ourselves in centuries of history, from the awe-inspiring Winchester Cathedral, the final resting place of Jane Austen and Saxon royalty, to the prestigious Winchester College and the poignant remnants of the Bishop's Palace. Our exploration continues along the serene River Itchen, culminating at the legendary Great Hall, home to the iconic Round Table that ignites the enduring myths of King Arthur.

Our exploration continues, passing the prestigious Winchester College, alma mater of former prime minister Rishi Sunak, and the evocative ruins of the Bishop's Palace. A serene stroll along the River Itchen leads us to the legendary Great Hall, where the Round Table sparks tales of King Arthur.

For a touch of local tradition, enjoy an optional complimentary beer at a historic almshouse. We'll trace Austen's final days, walking past her doctor's home and through the grounds of Winchester College, concluding our journey into this city's rich past.

Throughout your transfer tour, your knowledgeable guide will provide fascinating insights into history and culture, ensuring a comfortable and enriching experience. We'll conclude our tour with a timely arrival at your LOndon place of stay.
